"Wind-up" explores life's dualities: Subjectivity and Objectivity, Privacy and Public, Autonomy and Interdependence. Metaphorically inspired by a wind-up toy, it delves into extremes—intense parties, productivity, followed by stasis due to energy depletion. It addresses the aftermath of annihilation and fatigue, akin to the "day after the party." Amid real-life situations, it accentuates tension in maintaining authenticity amid societal pressures. The thematic research questions creativity's vitality and its transformation into escapism or stagnation. Set in a perpetual party atmosphere, the work leads to exhaustion, questioning fatigue, surrender, and self-reflection post-party. "Wind-up" adopts an observational stance, using dance and music to mirror the interplay between the external world and inner experiences. The audience is challenged to navigate life's highs and lows, harmony and discord, with a subjective interpretation. "Wind-up" is an invitation to explore, feel, and reflect on the intricate dance between music and the human spirit, pushing boundaries for a deeper understanding of existence.
